Our Impact
The fashion industry is unfortunately a very large and significant contributor to landfill waste, that is why we at Blanc Bridal will always endeavour to minimise our impact.
Our designs are Consciously Created to minimise fabric wastage, pieces such as skirts are placed to leave large enough remnants to be turned into corsets or bodices. Where fabric remnants and offcuts are unable to be utilised within a bridal wear piece, they are sent to Upparel, Australasia’s leaders in textile recovery and recycling. To learn how our scraps are recycled and given a new life visit the Upparel website here.
All Blanc Bridal pieces are Made to Order which ensures we only order the necessary amount of fabrics.
Renewable Energy, we have invested in harnessing the power of solar energy at our studio where all manufacturing takes place. In this way we are able to reduce our carbon footprint.
Recycled Fabrics & Fibres are embraced, synthetic fibres such as those used to create Tulle we can use for veils and skirts. The paper we use to pattern our gowns is also recycled. we continue to keep our eyes peeled for more options in the fabric market.
Our future promise, to contribute to global efforts of reforestation by making donations to “One Tree Planted” for every Blanc Bridal wedding gown sold.
